We’re in search for a Front-end Developer to strengthen our on-site development team. You work in a self-managing team where you and your team all responsible for development of all Onlia’s online offerings. Together with designers you’ll work on continuously improving our online customer experience and introducing new Onlia features, functionalities and services. You are the linking pin between design and implementation and with your knowledge about new techniques and frameworks we are able to deliver a great user experience.

You have extensive front-end development experience and have great knowledge and an opinion on the latest and greatest frameworks such as Angular, Vue or React. Of course, you know your way around in HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. You have some back-end (preferably C#) knowledge or are interested in it, which makes it easy for you to collaborate with our back-end developers.

Together with your colleagues, you take your work to an even higher level. You have eye for detail and build not only visually attractive features, but also user-friendly. You care about the full customer experience, stay open-minded and look beyond our stack to solve complex problems.

Key Accountabilities:

KA 1 Assess Requirements and provide feedback on new feature requests. Communicate and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders

KA 2 Build and release new features on our platform. Make sure that together with your colleagues, new features are delivered to production each sprint.

KA 3 Make sure that our front-end setup is up-to-date and advice about potential improvements.

KA 4 Constantly look for optimizations in the performance and accessibility of the website and advise on best practices to meet our performance and accessibility requirements. Find and implement solutions

KA 5 Make sure all our components are responsive and work properly on different devices and browsers

KA 6 Maintain coding standards and practices and write (in code) documentation

Qualifications and competencies:

  • Proven experience in IT on a bachelor’s level and/or (at least) a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a specialization in IT.
  • 4+ years of experience in web front-end development
  • In-depth knowledge of HTML, HTML 5, CSS and Javascript and Webpack
  • Relevant experience with frameworks like Angular(JS)/VueJS/React, NodeJS, Bootstrap, SASS.
  • Experience in developing on a Content Management System and how to integrate your work with a CMS.
  • Ability to setup a vision on front-end development for Onlia in collaboration with the back-end developers
  • Affinity with languages, accessibility, visual design and user experience design
  • Used to working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple demands and changing priorities to deliver quality results, for yourselves and the team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and technical development.

Salary: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
